Today we will discuss how to create our profile on LinkedIn.

How to set up and what points we should take care of. If your target audience is professional, or business person, If you want to target them and creating content for them, then LinkedIn is the platform for you. If you want to get a job, then also Linkedin is a good platform for you. I got many jobs through LinkedIn. So, today I teach you how to create a LinkedIn profile from scratch. I opened the LinkedIn website. I clicked on it. It is asking you to fill in your email ID and create a password. Also, there is an option to sign up via Facebook. So, I have filled the email ID and creating a random password. Agree & Join Fill in the name. Continue Now select your Country and fill in your City/ District name. Fill in the correct city because it will be very beneficial in the future. Don’t provide fake details on LinkedIn. If you don’t want to share any data, don’t fill it. Fill in the job title and continue. Click Here

If you are a student, then you can click on this option.

But I filled my business details and clicked “Continue”. Now you will get a verification mail. Fill the code. Now my profile is opened. I haven’t followed anyone yet. Our page is looking like this. Now, you have to click on your name. Your profile will appear here. It is showing that your profile strength is low. You can increase your level and reach “All-Star”. You have to fill all the required details here, including your profile picture and header image. You can see a few more options when you click on “Add profile section”. I recommend you to fill up as many sections as you can. Don’t skip anything. Don’t fake anything. Fill only genuine details. If you are a fresher, then fill every small skill like extracurricular activities, participation in school life.

If you are an established businessman and you have a portfolio,

then you can skip these things. Do mention your company names if you are a business person. If you have done a job or an internship, then you can tell your work experience here. Click on “+” then add Title, Employment type, Company name, Location, Month, Year. Add a description, and then save it. To make you understand better, I open my personal LinkedIn profile where I have filled my details. I will also make some changes because I haven’t updated my profile for so long. Here you will also know how an “All-Star” profile looks like. So this is my profile where you can see the data that I provided and my network. On top, you can see I have got 68 connection requests. 31 messages that I have to reply to. Although I am not very active on Linkedin these days. But if you have time, I would suggest you be active on LinkedIn as much as you can. Coming back to my profile. First of all, I would like to change my profile picture which is very outdated. This is the image when I was an MBA student. So I click on this pencil. Now click on “Change photo“. I like this one. Zoom in and adjust the image. Now, this picture looks nice to me. And I think it will match with my profile. I can apply any of the filters available here, but I will keep original. In the adjust section, I go to saturation and decrease the level. Let’s apply a vignette. Good Increase the contrast. Looks fine. Lower the brightness. Good And apply. So I have changed my profile picture.
